A place in nursery does not guarantee a place in main school.
Children reach compulsory school age at the beginning of the term after their fifth birthday. Rochdale Education Authority is responsible for determining admissions to the school.
Application forms for admission to primary school are available from Rochdale Education Authority, (these are automatically given to parents of children attending the nursery) they should be completed and returned to school who subsequently pass these to the LEA for consideration.
Places in primary schools are allocated by the admission authority up to the school admission limit using the following priority order:
Child in care to the Local Authority
Medical/Psychological (Supporting information must be provided)
Sibling already in school
Proximity and ease of access
Parents are warmly invited to visit the school by appointment to help them in choosing a place for their child.
You will be invited to tour the school and see the curriculum in action. The Headteacher and other members of staff will be available to answer any questions and you will have the opportunity to tell us more about your child. This helps us to ensure your child settles into their new school.
